Lorilyn Roberts' hopes of motherhood came to a devastating end when her husband left her for his pregnant girlfriend. Eight years later, Children of Dreams reveals God's restoration of her dreams through the international adoption of her two daughters. Written as creative nonfiction, an analogy is drawn between the physical adoption of children and God's spiritual adoption as recounted in the Bible. Ms. Roberts skillfully weaves in her own back‑story while telling about her adventures in Nepal and Vietnam, filled with political intrigue.
Scriptural insights and reflections interspersed throughout the book show Lorilyn's reliance upon her heavenly Father when all hope seemed lost. The reader will enjoy the vivid descriptions as well as a window into the plight of those struggling to survive where basic necessities may not be available. The adventure includes meeting a future Prime Minister, a missing baby, and many other surprises.
The medical mystery in Children of Dreams was featured on Animal Planet's "Monsters Inside Me," in the episode of "Shapeshifters."
Ms. Roberts' appearance on the show was to inform adopting families about certain medical conditions endemic in developing countries.

Terrorism rising in Europe and the Middle East...global economies in disarray...tiny Israel threatened by enemies on all sides. Is this old world finally about to die?
In Voices, this question festers just below the conscious level all over the world, especially in light of an event thirteen months earlier when millions of people simply vanished from the earth.
Most of those remaining comfort themselves by playing along with the more or less official explanation—that UFO’s came by and beamed certain people aboard for reasons unknown. But deep inside they realize that explanation is nothing but a convenient fantasy and that in reality an event of Biblical proportions has occurred.
Daniel Goldman is among those who try to ignore the Disappearance. Consistent with his life-long commitment to rigid self-determination, he has pushed the matter out of mind and become even more fanatically focused on his work as an international investor.
But on a Monday morning in late September events outside his control begin to chip away at his comfortable ignorance. Everywhere he goes he finds himself hotly pursued and people wanting things from him he’d never contemplated. As he travels the globe negotiating the largest oil deal on the planet—and as an ancient empire gradually re-awakens—he meets and falls in love with a beautiful Israeli woman. She, together with her family and their rabbi, help Daniel discover he has never really been the “captain of his soul.” Instead, all his life a variety of “voices” have guided him to a single decision with eternal consequences. The Biblical Apocalypse is upon them and, one way or another, Daniel is destined to play an important role in prophesied events.
This novel, the first of a series about the end of this age, shows the world is not coming to an end—only this current evil age is. It also treats the Bible as the inerrant Word of God and presents a plausible picture of the end times according to a literal reading of its prophetic revelation.

The lovable boarders of Wyncote House, a ladies-only establishment, take her under their collective wing and share her triumph when she is accepted into the brilliant young John Gielgud’s company as Peggy Ashcroft’s understudy. "Many things roam the streets in the darkness, and some are not human. Creatures lurk in the crannies and alleyways, pouncing on their victims with murderous intent. It is not unusual to be awoken from sleep by screams, but most of us just check the latches on the shutters and press our pillows against our ears, hoping the horrors of the night don't find their way into our own bedchambers."
Demons roam unchecked as the evil sorcerer, Invictus, tightens his grip on the world . . .
Hounded by Invictus' minions, Torg and Laylah escape into the northern wilds of Triken where the wizard, sorceress, and a handful of loyal companions encounter a menagerie of hideous monsters.
Even worse, the demon Vedana manipulates their every move from her black realm, wielding her wicked magic like a diabolical chess-master.
Against such evil, what hope have they to reach the safety of the White City?
This first loosely autobiographical book in The Mug Trilogy tells the story of Jersey-born Mug, a troubled girl from a recently broken home. It covers her experiences as a sixteen-year-old girl at the Isle of Wight Music Festival in 1970, the same year that she follows a guru. It describes her tumultuous years as an art student in Coventry, where vegetarian Mug finds herself living next door to an abattoir and railway shunting yard with David, a fellow art student. Dramatic events follow on from the evening they meet at a student party, when Mug attempts to save David from attempting a very public drunken suicide attempt.

The final battle--and the stakes have never been higher.
The long and bitter war is not over yet. One last battle remains, and it will set the Green Plains on fire. Mala's army of monsters has come to challenge what remains of the white horsemen. At stake? Torg's life . . . and Laylah's freedom. But even if the Chain Man and his minions are somehow defeated, an all-powerful being still waits in the wings--Invictus, himself. When the sorcerer finally makes his appearance, will Torg and Laylah's fragile hopes be incinerated?
These are linked stories, in the spirit of Ray Bradbury's Dandelion Wine. They are about a sixteen-year old girl, Kedzie Greer, who was raised in a utopian community and leaves home to make her way in a dystopian society. The year is 2199; the place, the Reunited States.
In these stories, technology coexists with a haunted world. There are witches and robots, ghosts and e-beasts, a mystical lake and a human warehouse.
If you want to get into the main story at once, begin with “Leaving Home.” It is about Kedzie's decision to seek a life outside the town gates.
If you want to begin with background on the town, start with “The Town With Four Names.” It has had a long strange trip from its beginning in the late nineteenth century, when it resembled the Chautauqua Institution, to 2199.
"A biblical comedy, a millennial carnival, a strange dispatch from beyond the rapture."
"A crazy-ass futuristic book."

The Excavations is coming of age tale which delves into the history of the world, and into its future. It is a prophecy of what will come if we fail to confront the results of climate change and imploding capitalism.
From old English delfan "to dig"
From Proto-Indo-European root dhelbh - source also of Lithuanian delba "crowbar," Russian dolbit, Czech dlabati, Polish dłubać "to chisel".
Related: Delved; delving.
Can also be an instruction:
Gary Troia is a writer, he has also been a bricklayer, a teacher, a philosophy student and a sufferer of several disorders, including: manic depression, alcoholism, fear of flying and a dislike of most people.
After Gary announces that he will no longer fly, his wife, Poppo books a coach holiday to Lake Como. One week later, with the newly acquired kittens dropped off at the cattery, Gary and Poppo embark on a twenty-four hour coach journey to Italy.
Gary always believed the restless, relentless, impossible-to-satisfy voice in his head was one of his greatest assets. It spurred him on. For a while, his strategy worked. But soon the energy of raw emotion would dissipate, and he would be back where he started. What happened next was completely unforeseen. Through a bizarre series of events - involving gangsters, the ICF, deportation from the States, Christian cults and the AA - Gary stumbled upon something that helped him tame the voice in his head: inspirational books. He spent years reading them before having a quiet revolution. Gary’s life was not transformed into a thing of beauty, but he did gain a passion for daily reflection and meditation. While the book itself is a narrative account of a journey to Lake Como, The coach to Como is ultimately the story of survival, recovery and evolution. The book is well crafted, with various threads being skilfully interwoven to give a colourful but incredibly honest account of the journey Gary has undertaken since he came to terms with his ego, his internal struggles with life, loneliness, rebelliousness and self-destructive behaviour.
Invictus, the god-like sorcerer, has finally been defeated. Torg and Laylah are safe . . . or so it seems . . .
But now the wizard and sorceress face another daunting challenge. Laylah's unborn child is growing abnormally fast--and he wields power even from her womb. A new horror is about to be born into the world. Are all who live on Triken in terrible danger again?
In the climactic conclusion of The Death Wizard Chronicles, Torg and Laylah are forced to fight for their freedom one final time.
When Antheia loses her parents at the age of seventeen, she must leave her childhood home and travel to Lancashire to live with her maternal uncle and family. Arriving at Sedgwick Abbey, she meets her new relatives and discovers she might not fit in with the lifestyle of a noble family. Her uncle doesn’t seem to be interested in her and her younger cousin, Felix, treats her with contempt.
However, she cannot ignore the wild beauty of that part of England. While exploring, she discovers a derelict cemetery and a mysterious sarcophagus that seems to have a profound effect on her, causing feelings of utter sadness and despair.
Meeting her elder cousin William, and his American friend Joel, changes her life forever. In William she finds a friend and in Joel the sparks of first love.
Family whispers about her grandmother's disappearance many years before, intrigues Antheia, especially since there's a suspicion she might have been murdered. Antheia endeavours to make Sedgwick Abbey her home, even though the man she's falling in love with must travel to America to join the Union Army. While she waits for Joel’s return, she's determined to follow the clues and discover the secret that lies heavily within the Abbey, completely unaware she's putting her own life in danger.
Before he rose to power, the signs of his evil genius were present. Only a few noticed.
Seemingly ordinary parents give birth to a boy with god-like powers--and soon discover that his magic is matched only by his propensity for evil. When the boy's mysterious grandmother appears and takes him away to a distant place, the parents are filled with relief.
But the boy named Invictus does not like taking orders from anyone. Very quickly, even his grandmother--a demon in disguise--cannot control him.
Eventually, Invictus learns that he has a younger sister, purposely hidden from him--but hidden no longer. And so he returns to his birthplace, obsessed with winning her over . . . no matter what.
The year is 2199; the place, the Reunited States.
Kedzie Greer is pretty, smart, accomplished, and loved. She grew up in paradise: a small lakeside community with utopian ideals. But on turning sixteen — the age of legal adulthood in 2199 — Kedzie decides she has had enough of paradise.
Story 1, “The Town With Four Names,” is about Kedzie's idyllic hometown, which has survived against all odds for more than three hundred years. Cassie Stillwater, a 90-year-old descendent of the original founder, writes down the town’s history, a history that turns personal.
Story 2, “Leaving Home,” is about Kedzie’s decision to seek a life outside the town gates. She finds a job that horrifies her parents, who fear that they raised her too well and protected her too much.
Story 1 will remind you of summer. Story 2 will remind you of what it feels like to begin work on your life.
The stories aren’t Young Adult in spite of the age of the heroine and in spite of the fact that they are more or less G-rated. They aren’t exactly science fiction either.

As her own and other families throughout the country are crushed under its wheels, Susan musters the strength and the will to battle a behemoth system that has become the very thing it was created to eradicate.
Wheels of Injustice is the true story of one woman’s fight against a powerful system that’s run amok, grinding families into dust, obliterating Amendment protections, and taking revenge against anyone who attempts to reform it.
It’s the 1980s—a decade of unfounded abuse accusations, hysterical claims of orgies at daycare centers, families controlled by courts, and an out-of-control child protection system.
A tribute to God's faithfulness and a message of hope to others who have struggled to overcome adversity, fight governmental intrusion and overreach, and turn an upended life the right way around again.
“We are not to simply bandage the wounds of victims beneath the wheels of injustice, we are to drive a spoke into the wheel itself.”
― Dietrich Bonhoeffer

People need to look at their government. I have written articles for over 20 years; from the first Bush to Obama. We have problems we need to face and quit sticking our head in the sand. It's okay to be a liberal or a conservative, but neither exists in our government today. Our politicians do everything but what they were elected to do: Represent the People. If you are open minded you will enjoy this. If you've only voted one party all of your life then don't download this book. Stop to look at what our politicians are doing today. If you are an open minded Christian you might enjoy this. And if you are you must admit God is probably not too happy. Atheists are offended. Everyone should be offended that they are offended. When talking about being Christian in the military becomes an act of "treason," then we have bigger problems. America has spent so much time protecting each individual’s rights that no one has any rights. Throughout history every great empire has collapsed; there have been no exceptions. To all the military living and dead who served the United States of America, with honor and sacrifice for freedom and their country, may the actions of Congress and our Presidents not make their dedication in to God and country in vain. WARNING! This is for mature audiences so if you’re a Democrat or Republican who always voted the same ticket, this is not for you, because it means you are incapable of thinking on your own, so I’d rather you not buy it. If you are a frustrated American upset with the current administrations then you may find these scribbles quit enjoyable. Should I Forget A simple reminder, since I might forget. These are scribbles of an Old Fart and you may find repetitions. This is due to “Oldheimers.” DISCLAIMER Any resemblance to political persons in office is purely intentional. FOR PETA’S SAKE! For your peace of mind let it be known that NO animals were injured during the making of these meandering scribbles. GIVE ME A BREAK! I’m not a racist, and I’m not a terrorist, I’m just trying to be funny and open your eyes to other solutions. If you have better ideas then you write a book. FINAL WARNING! Before you read this I must remind you that you have three choices. You can only pick one so be careful. You are a Democrat, a Republican or an American. If you picked one of the first two then don’t get this book and if you do then don’t complain. Americans tell the truth, the other two don’t. Offended yet? You will be; unless you’re an American. FOR OBAMA I’M AMERICA’S BIGGEST THREAT I’m a white, Christian, heterosexual, and I believe in traditional marriage. I am America’s Biggest Threat. Get Over It!
