Book 4 - The Runaway Bride
Book 5 - The Christmas Princess
Book 6 - The Surprise Princess
Book 7 - The Forgotten Prince

In the romantic comedy Prelude to a Wedding, charming Paul Monroe has the Peter Pan thing down pat. As an antique toy appraiser, even his work involves play. Which is fine, unless your job is to keep his Chicago business running smoothly and all that charm - and sexiness - is aimed at you.

Organization and reliability are Bette Wharton's hallmarks. She handles the toughest clients with aplomb, until Paul provides a challenge that goes way beyond the office. She has a plan and a timetable and office romance -- especially with this man who even makes the workplace fun -- is definitely not part of it. How can she let herself fall for Mr. Live-for-the-Moment if all he offers is Love-for-the-Moment?

... Paul is the first of the grooms to watch his bride walk down the aisle toward him, but he won't be the last! Find their stories in WEDDING PARTY and GRADY'S WEDDING ... and the newest release, THE FORGOTTEN PRINCE, a new sequel to the Wedding Series.

Synopsis

"In his debut novel, Ray Green writes with authority and style ... a tense, complex novel set amidst corporate double-dealing and intrigue, where loyalties are tested to the limit and friendship might not always be enough." Daniel Goldsmith Associates, Literary Consultants

For five ordinary guys and one rather extraordinary woman, the only escape from the corporate rat-race is to buy the company they're working for: take it all to a new level, save hundreds of jobs and make some serious money. But it quickly becomes clear that nothing is as easy as it seems. The bid is quickly undercut as twisted corporate politics and personal vendettas take over. When the buyout becomes all or nothing for the management buyout team, it all spins out of control: marriages fall apart, dark secrets are discovered, life savings are spent on the stock market, illegal insider dealing becomes a matter of fact and blackmail, theft, betrayal and manipulation are the new rules of the game. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity turns into a lurid nightmare. Buyout is a gripping and compulsive page-turner about the power of money to unveil the deepest in human nature. It's also a story about chasing one extraordinary dream. At an extraordinary price.

Synopsis

2016 Winner of three Gold Medals: IBPA Ben Franklin, Bill Fisher Award for Best First Book by a Publisher, the IPPY Award for Best Historical Fiction, and Reader's Favorite for Best Historical Fiction. Also named a Finalist in the Historical Fiction category of the 2016 Next Generation Indie Book Awards, and second place winner of the IndieReader Discovery Award for best Fiction. Recently named the winner of Best New Fiction in the International Book Awards for 2016, IndieReader Best Books of 2016, and three other notable Indie Book Awards.

Historical fictionalized account of Victoria Woodhull's rise to presidential candidate and wealth, coming from poverty and abuse.

What compels a woman and her youngest sister to overcome abject poverty and violent abuse to grow up to defy convention and obliterate every barrier to become the first women to own and operate a Wall Street brokerage firm and publish their own newspaper?

How did Victoria Claflin Woodhull (1838 - 1927) become the first woman invited to speak to the United State Congress, and then the first female to run for president. What made Tennessee Celeste Claflin (1845 - 1923) so beguiling that the richest man in America, Cornelius Vanderbilt, fell completely in love with her?

What caused the sisters to live out their long lives as royalty and peerage in Europe. Victoria living as landed gentry outside of London, and Tennessee in a huge castle like a queen? Why aren't these empowered and independent women iconic in our culture?

Volume One of The Victoria Woodhull Saga tells the poignant, lascivious, and compelling inside story of how the sisters worked closely with Cornelius Vanderbilt, who at age 74 fell in love with the beguiling 24-year old Tennessee. Victoria provided the titan of industry "Inside Her Information" gathered through the soiled sisterhood, the ladies of the evening working at the top seven brothels servicing the rich and famous of New York City.

This relationship resulted in the great lion of industry having his last public roar as together they manipulated the financial markets and created the impending collapse of the U.S. economy in the gold scandal of 1869. To avert the crash, President Ulysses S. Grant provides the richest man in America insider information on the gold market and telegrams Vanderbilt that his railroad company is "Too Big To Fail!" Vanderbilt was proclaimed "The Savior of the American Economy" for intervening in a crisis he helped create.

View Victorian America through the eyes and thoughts of one of its leading heroines., Victoria Woodhull. Watch as the infighting and elitism of the earliest suffrage women denigrating, castigating, and denouncing other passionate suffrage rights women delayed woman suffrage and equal legal standing for five decades. Learn wonderful anecdotes of the origins of products and phrases used today. Learn the story of Reverend Henry Ward Beecher, the most popular man in America, who transformed Christianity from his father's "fire and brimstone" theology to one of a compassionate and loving Jesus, who will redeem all who turn to salvation with complete confession of their sins. The reverend's personal life did not imitate his lofty and popular theology of his weekly sermons at Plymouth Church. He was a notorious womanizer, often bedding, and sometimes impregnating the wives, sisters, and daughters of his most ardent trackers and deacons of the church.

Written in the first person from Victoria's viewpoint, Neal Katz weaves a compelling page-turning story that cleverly unfolds history while providing a wonderfully entertaining ride. Katz has pledged one half of book sale proceeds to charities dedicating to the empowerment and sustainable economic improvement of women, especially single mothers.

Synopsis

He sees what she's long hidden ... especially from herself.

Meet Josh Kincannon, high school principal, single father of three, and thus, as he reminds himself ruefully, essentially celibate back into misty memory and forward into the foreseeable future.

After three months of trying to work with Vanessa Irish via phone and e-mails on a project to help tiny Drago, Illinois, Josh believes he has an accurate picture of Zeke-Tech's CFO:

Conscientious? Oh, yeah.
Intelligent? Absolutely.
Agreeable? Not so much.

Then he catches sight of her wild, vibrant robe and begins to wonder what other elements might form a portrait of Vanessa Irish. Every time she goes into her I'm-so-boring-I-disappear-against-white-walls act, he remembers that vibrant, wild fabric hanging on the corner of a door and he gets curious.

And the more curious he becomes, the more he discovers about her that has him feeling things a whole lot hotter than curiosity. Things that shake up life as single parent to his three kids, scrape against his career as high school principal and -- oh, yes -- definitely threaten his stretch of celibacy.

Numbers, that's where Vanessa is comfortable. Not all this interaction with people that she's been pitched into. Especially interacting with Josh Kincannon. Why does he insist on drawing her into his small town, his life, his children? And the biggest question -- what kind of man is this, who not only looks at her, but SEES her, when that's the last thing she wants?

... or is it?

Praise for the Seasons in a Small Town series:

Book cover image for Getting It Write: Common Sense Copywriting for your Business
View full details

Synopsis

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if a book on Writing for your Business could guide you, gently but firmly down the path to security, success and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Unfortunately, life’s no fairy-tale, so I wouldn’t lay bets on the pot!

Fact is, there’s never an approach to anything that suits everyone and writing’s no exception. What works splendidly for someone else, might not tick your boxes. Which is why, in this book, you’ll find no absolute rights, wrongs or rules, just plenty of options, opinions and suggestions including such weighty matters as:

~ Not Murdering your Message
~ Marketing Hits and Myths
~ Creating Killer Copy Lines
~ Public Speaking or Root Canal Treatment?

I certainly hope some of what I’ve put together (based on more years of writing than I care to remember) will nudge you to approach things from new angles, encourage you to trust your own instincts, help avoid unpleasant pitfalls and help you make words work harder for you.

As a writer for businesses, the tools I work with are words (and multiple cups of coffee) but because we use words all the time, we can easily forget just how powerful they are and how they can work in oddly contradictory ways.

Doubtful?

Well, suppose I say, 'The meeting starts at 12.00.' Pretty straightforward statement. How about if I say, 'I’m sure the meeting starts at 12.00.' The addition of that one word changes the statement. How odd is that? 'Sure' is an unequivocal endorsement, yet put it before a statement and it instantly casts doubt, making you sound less rather than more certain. Words can be pesky but if you're running a business your communication has to be good, if it's not, you won't be running a business for long.

"5.0 out of 5 stars Engaging, succinct - with brilliant tips.
This book has inspired me to change my copy on every single forum out there! There are so many brilliant tips and Marilyn’s engaging humour shines throughout. I have a long list of to do's and ideas to follow through. Aside from the tips, I learned simply from her style of writing - she practices what she preaches. It's helped me focus, refine and step into my authenticity in the material I put out there. Sometimes you read a book that really changes how you think, this is one of those.’ Welshy. 7 February 2019"
